# Bot Emotion not showing in React app via Web SDK

I’m using the **Convai React Web SDK** to integrate a character/avatar in my React app. I want to **receive the bot’s emotional state** (like happy, sad, neutral) so I can display it in my UI, but **I never see these messages** , even though other message types like `bot-llm-text` and user transcriptions are coming through. Do I need to modify any settings or upgrade plan to receive `state of mind` messages in Convai React SDK?

No you dont have to upgrade. Its not available yet as it is in beta as of now. We will be updating it soon.
