### Short summary

The Narrative Design leaves out one node and jumps to the next one.

### What happened?

We are developing an avatar that is meant to simulate a job interview. Since we need a certain amount of data, the avatar should ask a follow-up question every time the answer of the user was too short (“Please elaborate a bit further on that”). After asking the follow-up once, the avatar should always move to the next question, irrespective of the answer length. However, if the follow-up question is not answered precisely enough, the model seems to jump to the follow-up question that was actually intended for the upcoming question. As a result, the respective main question is never asked.

### What did you expect?

The avatar asks the follow-up once if the reply was to short and then moves to the next question, irrespective of the user’s input to the follow-up.
