I have narrowed the issue down to Convai “Set Mute” not actually muting the mic even though the logic is telling it to. Is there something I can specifically do to correct this on my end? That should fix everything
Unfortunatly that doesn’t work. I’ve tried in various configurations as well. Anything else that controls the audio input I’m missing?
Guys I know it’s late but I’m about out of ideas and I have 12 hours until the show. I downloaded a new Metahuman and created a new player following the video exactly, but the same issue persists. I even removed my touch widget and used the default “T” key to test and still same thing.
I’m not sure what’s hijacking the audio but none of those functions that control audio override the hands free mode. What can I do here? Thanks for all the help so far.
There could be some other player component that is spawning later in the game and taking over, this solution here loops over all player components and it will also do an extra step of reducing the microphone volume to mute it.
Hope this helps.
This seems to be working! Not sure what’s still in the background as it’s a pretty simple project framework and I deleted all project files except Config Content and UProject and it was still doing it. But clearly something was running I couldn’t see. I will strip down the project and refactor after the conference to be safe.
THANK YOU! You saved my butt. Very very appreicative of both of you guys going the extra mile. It really means a lot from a customer service standpoint. Cheers!
