Hello, I am having around 8 to 9 seconds to get a response from the avatar. This is the same in the convai panel as well as in my build, I tried placing two lines in the description so as not to have so much information but the response is still slow. ---

Same here - today, the delay has been 3 or 4 times longer than usual, and I’ve had to restart my program multiple times for it to start responding. I see that there has been an update on the Convai website - could this be impacting existing characters? ---

Hello @Meijestic @limsue, As mentioned earlier, could you please share your **Character ID** and the **Session IDs** where you experienced the response delays? This will help us investigate the issue further. The recent updates to the website should not impact existing characters or their functionality. ---

my character id is c687bef8-a5b8-11ef-92e6-42010a7be016 I use it with pixel streaming (Unreal Engine) . I have not made any changes to it. ---

My characterID is 0a2937b4-b99f-11ef-b403-42010a7be016. All session IDs were impacted (even new session IDs generated), but this was especially an issue with the following: 69fad091e65163974728126a2a52afe2 e3a8f147328d57273387aa84ae155240 I use Unreal 5.4 (Convai 3.5.0) Thanks! ---

on the playground it takes 5-6 sec. ---

My characterID is 0929327c-5c1d-11ef-8ee8-42010a7be011 I did tests and deactivated the Knowledge Bank file, and I went from 8-9 to 5-6 seconds. Is there anything else that can help to improve. My internet is correct and I don’t have a VPN. ---

Hi everyone, i have the same problem but in unreal engine For some time now it has been the case that replies often take up to 10-15 seconds. This is the case in Unreal Engine but also in the dashboard for my character. This is also displayed in the dashboard (see image). No vpn and internet works great. My Character ID is: bcd04d60-bdfd-11ee-adad-42010a40000f And as I said, it’s not just about one session, but almost all of them. There is rarely a day when it is a little faster. I reduced my response time by about 2 to 3 seconds by condensing as much as I could in the character backstory, knowledge bank info, amount of narrative design trigger/sections I had setup, implemented actions etc. It went from about 9 to 6 seconds. I’ve added some more stuff since then to the characters and it’s gone back up a bit I think, I’m trying to find a balance between amount of stuff used for the character and latency. EDIT: also voice used has an impact (I think the Convai one’s are quickest), as does LLM. If you scroll down this page you’ll see a table with LLM’s listed and their speed. Hello, nothing has changed for me, it is still very slow. I also still get the notification message in the Playground. At the moment it’s worse than ever. I get faster responses when I set the voice to the GCP voices but they are not an option for me. With the LLM’s, GPT-4o now also works a little bit faster with my selected voice, but actually I only get satisfactory results with ‘Claude-3-5-Sonnet’ and don’t want to change. Testing today, and from the playground it is taking approximately 6 seconds again. I haven’t changed anything at all. Will it have something to do with the convai servers? ---

It has gotten worse, it lasts up to 9 seconds and I have no information bank or narrative. Just a little general information about the character. Please could you help me. since in a few days I will present it and it will be used. Hi @K3 I still have the problem, claude 3.5 is not usable with the delay right now. It seems to me that it is a mixture of LLM and the selected voice. I use an OpenAI voice and Claude 3.5 and almost every answer takes more than 10sec. With OpenAI as LLM it’s faster but the character departs too much from the backstory so it’s not really usable.
