# What ports need to be open

hello again.

Can you point me to a list of the ports that must be open for convai to operate? I’m going to be taking an app to a conference and want to make sure that I request the correct settings from the IT crew there.

Thank you for your question. Could you please clarify if you’re asking which ports need to be open for your app to connect to `https://api.convai.com`, or if there’s something else you’d like to know about the network configuration?

Hi Manzer yes, this is indeed my question. What ports need to be open to connect to the api.

I have to provide this to the conference so they can configure the network for me 😉

Our core APIs are hosted at [https://api.convai.com](https://api.convai.com). As long as your network allows outbound HTTPS (port 443) requests, everything should work correctly.
