Is there a way to run tests, to see what the best descriptions are?
Currently I’m trying to change some things, then asking the same questions, then repeating this process with the same questions.
Just wondering if that’s the best, quickest approach?
It’d be amazing if you could assign a score out of 100 for a response, change something quickly, score that, do that process a few times then select the personality with the best score? I know atm you can save versions as you go.. but throwing it out there.
Yes, the approach you’re currently using is a good way to optimize character descriptions.
Ultimately, deciding which response is “best” is subjective and use-case dependent, so manual testing remains the most reliable method. To assist with this, we recommend checking the Sample Characters available in the Convai Dashboard. They can provide great examples of well-crafted descriptions.
Also, you can use Character Versioning to save and organize different iterations, perhaps numbering them manually as part of your testing flow.
