Character responding to empty push to talk

Original Discord Post by vrzach | 2024-09-10 20:30:22

Hello, I’m using a character in Unity and I’m using the push to talk feature to communicate with the character. I noticed an issue where: I press the push to talk button but don’t say anything and then the character responds as if I had said something. This can be exaggerated by spamming the push to talk button. When after doing so the character ends up with a huge paragraph of text by the end. I adjusted the threshold amounts in MicrophoneInputChecker but that doesn’t seem to prevent this particular issue.

You can change “hold time”.

Does that apply to the push to talk UI element and/or the “t” keybind?

No only for key.
