Hi, I’m using Convai with Zapier and Google Sheets. Manual API test works and data is saved in Sheets, but in live chat the avatar asks for info and nothing is sent. Also “Connect to” in final section shows no API function, only sections. Not sure what’s missing.

hi I’m using Gemini 2.5 Flash, and I also tried GPT-4o Mini, but I’m facing the same issue. In test mode, everything works correctly and the data is sent to Google Sheets via Zapier. However, when I use the avatar agent, it collects the information but doesn’t send any data to Google Sheets

but it’s still not working! the avatar say it save data but itd call the API !
Hello, it seems like there is some confusion regarding the functionalities of the platform. The Narrative Design and External APIs are two different functions. While the way you have currently set up the ND should in theory work as you are trying to make it work, but you won’t be able to connect the External API in ND decision like you want to.
Our recommendations would be to test the following:

Reduce character description to the essentials and then test
If the character’s deployed already try it with a new character.
