any location works, just tunneling through should bypass router firewall if that was ever an issue

I see, do you have any other VPNs open on your machine, for example Radmin vpn, or hamachi etc…? If so please close them as they mighr contribute to the latency

not sure on the optimal speed since it also depends on the voice selected, different voices have different qualities and bandwidth, but overall it is rarely an issue unless in areas with very limited bandwidth and unstable connection which is not your case

I would suggest trying on a different network and pc just to be sure it is not machine or network related
