Questions about using the 'write sound wave to wav file' node

<@365628745886859267> Hello. I’m trying to use the ‘write sound wave to wav file’ node, which seems to be a function to save the user’s recorded voice as a .wav file. I have two main questions.

  1. Can I just create a ‘finish recording’ node, followed by the ‘write sound wave to wav file’ node, and not have a ‘start recording’ node as shown in the attached screenshot?
  2. How can I save the ‘.wav’ file created in the ‘write sound wave to wav file’ node to my local computer?

I am inquiring because I need to create a .wav file of the user’s voice. Thank you.

Hi <@1138879756113293334>, we have to call start recording before finish recording for it to record properly. As for saving the .wav file you are doing it correctly

Note that these features of recording and saving wav files are no longer supported, they were needed for very early versions of the plugin but at the moment I would suggest using a different plugin that is more directed to recording audio if that’s your main target
