I saw this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWXJeO_2wlM
followd the same procedure like this. and at the end while apply prompt it is not affecting in the unity side. not creating the character and all. nothing happend it shows that unity MCP is revoked but from unity it is accepted.
Please use the following prompt to test whether the Unity MCP connection is working correctly:
Use the Unity MCP connection.
Create a Cube named "MCP_Test_Cube" in the current scene and set its position to (0, 1, 0).
Then verify that the object exists in the scene hierarchy.
First, please make sure the Unity MCP connection itself is working properly. If it does not work, please refer to the Unity MCP documentation and troubleshoot the MCP connection setup first.
Once the Unity MCP connection is working correctly, we can then look into the Convai related part.
Hi, just chipping in here, i think unity have removed the need to pay for a sub to use their mcp within the last week or so. Your issue isnt Convai related. The unity mcp often doesnt work for me as well. What i do to fix is toggle off/on things related to the AI assistant, so :
select Edit, then Project Settings, unity mcp server, stop the unity bridge and restart it, then just below expand the ‘other connections’ section and check codex has been allowed (it should say Accepted, allow any codex entry that doesnt say Accepted)
Scroll to the bottom of that same section and expand Integrations, check Codex says Configured, i disable then enable it as well anyway
i think the following may only apply to metas mcp but i do it anyway, select edit menu again, open preferences, expand meta XR, agent bridge, expand Advanced, click Start Server
close the codex desktop app properly, dont just click the x in the top right, go to File, Exit, then re-open it again and ask the LLM if it has Unity mcp connection
The unity mcp often fails it seems. I put a directive in my assistant guidelines to check for unity mcp access before proceeding.
As Tyke also mentioned, this issue does not appear to be related to Convai.
Please make sure that the MCP connection between Codex and Unity is working correctly first. If you are still having issues with the Unity MCP setup, I recommend creating a post on the Unity forums or checking the Unity MCP documentation.
Once the Unity MCP and Codex connection is working properly, please let me know here, and I can help you with the Convai related part.
Also, the MCP connection itself is free and does not require a subscription.
