Convai v4 Beta - Questions (Android, Lip-sync, backward compatibility)

Hello everyone, I am planning on porting a project that was originally made in Inworld, to Convai, and I realized that there is a new BETA version that has not Lip-sync support yet.

I want to know if it is (or will be) Android compatible?
When is expected the lip-sync be active?
And, If I I decide to start working (in the case of not compatible with Android, or not release date for the lip-sync yet) with the old version, will it be supported during this year or easily migrated to the new version?

You can safely start with the new V4 plugin. All new updates and improvements will be focused on this version going forward.

  • Lip-sync: We don’t have a firm ETA yet, but it is actively being worked on and will be added as soon as possible.

  • Android support: Yes, Android support is planned for V4.

  • Old plugin: You can continue using the old plugin for now, but on Android there are known issues and higher response times compared to V4, so I would recommend building on V4 if you can.
