Is it possible to import a downloaded chat log to restore character memory, or to share a character memory state?
Hello @hijohnperez,
Welcome to the Convai Developer Forum!
You can download a character’s conversation history from the Memory section, but currently, there is no option to import or delete memory directly.
So even if I create a character and put a chat log from a memory section into the knowledge bank section, this will not work to restore memory in any way? Thanks!
Do you have a session ID? If yes, you can use the same session. So the character will remember it.
I will try to describe what I am trying to do. I am using TykeAI, a VR app that uses Convai as it’s AI system. I have a memory ID and I have a clone of the character that is being used in TykeAI that was shared with me by the developer. I believe that my memory ID is stored on the developer’s account. If we can figure out the procedure, I was hoping to download the chat logs by looking up the memory ID that corresponds to my character, so I can transfer the chat logs to my own Convai account. Is that possible, and if so, can it be done with the memory ID? I don’t see a session ID in the app and didn’t know if these terms may be interchangeable since the session ID is in the memory section on the Convai page. Thank you!
Basically, I would like to know if one can use the Memory ID to look up the memory file to download, and if this can be used to put in the memory bank of a clone of the same character to inform it of the previous chat history. Thanks
