I’m encountering an issue when trying to extract my character’s memory an error appears (see attached screenshot). The character was created under my account and the interactions and memory are associated with ermis.ai.assistant@gmail.com.
Everything was working fine until yesterday and I was able to access the character’s memory without any problems. However, since yesterday
I’ve been getting a message saying that I don’t have edit access to the character, even though I haven’t changed anything.
I don’t want to make any edits; I just want to view and download the conversations. The character was created on my account, but the API key being used is the one I’m trying to extract the conversations from. It had been working that way until now.
Hi,
Convai does not allow the anyone except the owner of a character, i.e, the account which created and can make edits to the character, to view Memory and sessions. Please contact the owner of the character and login with that account to view the sessions and download them.
I’m the owner of the character and I’ve noticed that the memory and session data are no stored under my account. Until recently, I was able to view and download all sessions from the account associated with the API key being used.
However, as per your previous advice, I followed the suggested steps, but now it seems that the sessions and memory are no longer linked or accessible from any account. Could you please clarify if something has changed in how Convai handles memory/session ownership, or if there’s an additional step I need to take to restore access?
In the owner account memory i can see only the session that are using the owner’s API key and at the account that i am sharing the link and make the interaction it appears the msg “Sorry You do not have edit access for the character. Please try some other character“ as the screenshot above
