So I follow the written tutorial which has completely conflicting information and then the YouTube video for unreal setup and then that’s really old and there is a newer one and it’s still not running 5.4 because they’re not even looking at the same screens I’m looking at. I get the character id put on to the base character and all that goes well I even got them on my metahuman it looked like he was moving in it was doing okay but when it’s time to change the first person perspective to the convey bass player it gives this error message saying like if you if you change this the parenting is going to be broken and it basically just says the bad blueprint makes everything disappear I’ve tried to combine information from a different you know sources that were all from you guys I mean I don’t know what else to do I can’t keep pressing the same buttons over and over again I’m really trying to move forward this

All of them I tried I’ve gone with the written part on the convey website which that information seems dated I mean I watched the video with the guy and that’s supposed to be showing yourself around I find the link

The plugin updates are made such that all the tutorial are never out dated and would work with all versions of Unreal, it sounds to me that the plugin files and specifically the ConvaiBasePlayer blueprint file got corrupted somehow, I would suggest trying to reinstall the plugin and also try any of the sample projects we have, although they’re made on UE5.3 they would still work on UE5.4

That’s going to be easy to do because my unreal literally stopped recognizing every plug in so I had to complete reinstall it just now so now I have to reinstall my plugins so hopefully It fixed the problem
