Push-to-Talk Missing After Convai Update (VR Controller A Button Mapping)

Dear Convai Forum Team,

For a VR application, I previously followed this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHhkBd6NOlo&t=369s) to implement the push-to-talk behavior using the controller’s A button. However, after the latest Convai update, I noticed that the blueprints inside the Convai Base Player have changed. I no longer see the “Hold T to Talk” section in the blueprint, which I used to adapt for the A button on the VR controller.

Could you please guide me on how to implement or replicate the push-to-talk behavior in the updated version so that it still works correctly in VR? I assume the YouTube tutorial will eventually be updated, but any guidance you can provide in the meantime would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Hello,

Welcome to the Convai Developer Forum!

This new plugin is a beta plugin, so I don’t recommend updating existing, production projects with it yet.

If you’re only trying to enable/disable push to talk, you can now do that directly from the editor.

To help you more concretely, could you share a screenshot of what you’re trying to set up?
