I am creating a game for children. The idea behind the game is to teach them English. I would like to be able to record the leaner interacting with an NPC via their webcam and assess them afterwards. Is this possible? Can you please help.
Hello @Dimitri_Merritt,
Welcome to the Convai Developer Forum!
What exactly are you looking to record? The webcam video of the learner, the audio, or the entire interaction session including both video and audio?
Hello
Thank you for reaching out. I found this in your forum " Revolutionizing Training Through AI Roleplay with Convai’s AI Characters" It has an example where a frustrated client walks in and records the interaction. I would love to do something like this. Is there some step-by-step guide or video to accomplish this?
Hello. This is what I am looking for. I want to be able to give feedback at the end of the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUHdBLToNcI&t=99s I hope this helps
The character you’ve shared in the video is built using Avatar Studio/Convai Sim Experiences. To learn more about Avatar Studio, you can watch this video: Avatar Studio Overview.
The key step from here is customizing your character to fit your needs. You can do this by adjusting elements such as the Character Description, Personality Traits, and Knowledge Bank. As a reference, you can explore the sample characters available in your Convai Dashboard to see how they’re structured.
Good day. Thank you for your response. I am not sure if I sent the wrong link.. BUT… I am trying to create something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUHdBLToNcI&t=99s i.e. the learner interacts with the AI character and then another AI gives feedback regarding what was said and done in the scenario. Where can I learn more about scenarios and more importantly the AI giving feedback regarding the scenario
Thank you
Dimitri
Yes, I said that for this video.
Sorry did I misunderstand something. I do apologise. Where is a tutorial or reading material on how to create a scenario with feedback? I think I can create the first part i.e. the scenario ..BUT… how do I get the feedback element? O! Yes! Thank you for your speedy response
Hi Dimitri,
Currently, there is no built-in function to send the transcript from one conversation to another character. This demo was done programmatically by updating the backstory of the assessment character who already had a rubric, but needs the context of the conversation. You can do this programmatically by using the Core APIs or potentially through the plugins.
Hello Jeff. Is there anywhere where I can read up on how to do this? I really need help.
Then I have another question totally unrelated. How does it work? I mean… If I create a game. Learners interact with the AI. How does one control the tokens? How many tokens can one send? What happens if I have 10 learners this month and the next 1000. I am asking this because I have the free plan and I have reached my limit and have to make a decision about what I need to purchase … If I go with Convai or inWorld.
Thank you
Dimitri
You can follow our documentation to create and customize your character:
https://docs.convai.com/api-docs/convai-playground/get-started
https://docs.convai.com/api-docs/convai-playground/character-customization
Convai does not use tokens. We use interactions, and each plan has a different monthly interaction quota. For example, the Professional plan includes 10,000 interactions per month.
Definition of an interaction:
An interaction is counted every time a user sends input and the AI character responds, whether in text or voice. The response is generated using elements like Narrative Design, Actions, Backstory, and Personality. Each generated response counts as one interaction.
Example:
User says “Hello” and gets a reply. That is one interaction.
User then asks “How are you?” and gets another reply. That is a second interaction.
Hello Kaan
I cannot tell you how much this means… Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction.
Since my last “call out” for help I have made little progress .. BUT… progress nonetheless. I know some of the links in the links you provided is going to help.
Really appreciate your help
Dimitri
