Science Lab Sample Scene Loads as Very Dark / Black Screen

Hello,

I am creating a student–teacher classroom simulation and would like to use the Science Lab sample scene.

Expected behavior

I expected the Science Lab scene to load, similar to the other sample scenes, where the environment and character are clearly visible.

Actual behavior

When I load the Science Lab scene:

  • The background appears completely black

  • The environment is extremely dark

  • The avatar couldn’t be added

Other sample scenes load and render correctly. This issue only occurs with the Science Lab scene.

Errors

  • No explicit error messages are shown

  • The scene loads, but the environment appears dark

What I’ve tried so far

  • Reloading the scene

  • Testing other sample scenes (all others work as expected)

Question

I would really like to use the Science Lab scene for my simulation.
Could you please let me know:

  • Is this a known issue with the Science Lab sample scene?

  • Is it possible to edit or adjust the lighting/environment settings?

  • Is there a recommended workaround to make the scene visible?
