Why is it that when I use Unreal to chat, just the first response is very slow, about 10 seconds, and then the response time becomes normal.

In my playground response time is normal,but in Unreal is slow. Just the first response.

I had the same issue a couple of days ago, a friend of mien tested it and had an instant connection. As I live on Bali, I think the main reason has something to do with the location. COrrect me if I am wrong.

I experience the same in unreal. From the logs it seems like the first connection sends with -1 session ID, then takes a long time to respond with an actual session ID. Then the next responses are faster (after convai backend team did something yesterday to address the slow responses).

Before yesterday the first message would return with multiple session IDs and then pare down to a single session ID, however that seems to have been fixed yesterday.

<@760070376117370900> Hard to say. For the most part no, not consistently. though it feels like an occasional string of quicker responses happens more often than before. Yesterday there was a short period where it seemed majority of responses were 1-2 seconds with just a few 5 seconds, but today its worse again.

Still the first message takes super long, and many messages have long average response times- even over 20 seconds before response comes in. Overall, inconsistent.
