Custom face animations causing head to detach from body

Hello, I am working with Convai in Unreal 5.3. I have created custom animations that have lipsync to pre-recorded audio. Before using the Convai AI speech I would like to use these custom animations and pre-recorded audio with button activation. However, when the custom animation is played the character’s head detaches from the body.

This was already a topic brought up by ‘Original Discord Post by famifax | 2024-10-09 19:28:46’. Convai_Metahuman_Face_Anim - Unreal Engine / Questions - Convai Developer Forum . I believe I have the exact same issue but can’t find the answer to the problem resolved from this original post. Please may someone assist, thank you in advance.

How do you play the animation?

From BP_FirstPersonCharacter, Keyboard button press. Get actor of class (my convai metahuman character) and play animation targeting face skeletal mesh component.

Could you please share a screenshot?
