ElevenLabs Polish voices unavailable when Polish language is selected

I’m running into an issue with language and voice configuration when using ElevenLabs voices together with non-English languages (e.g. Polish).

What’s happening

  • When no language is selected, I can choose from the full list of ElevenLabs voices.

  • After selecting an ElevenLabs voice (for example “Rachel (Young Polish Feminine Voice)”), the system automatically sets the language to English.

In this setup:

  • Text input works correctly — typing in Polish produces correct responses.

  • Microphone input does not work properly, because speech-to-text remains set to English and doesn’t recognize Polish speech correctly.

  • When I select Polish as the language, the same ElevenLabs voice disappears from the available voices list and cannot be selected anymore.

Resulting problem

  • The voice clearly supports Polish output.

  • Selecting Polish removes access to the voice.

  • Leaving the language as English breaks Polish speech-to-text.

At the moment, it’s impossible to combine:

  • Polish (microphone input)
    with

  • ElevenLabs voices for TTS output

because language selection appears to be tightly coupled with voice availability.

Question

Given that some ElevenLabs voices explicitly support Polish (as indicated in their names), they should remain available when Polish is selected as the language.

Is this a bug in how Convai maps languages to ElevenLabs voices, and is there a plan to fix language-based voice filtering so that Polish-supported voices are not removed when Polish is selected?

Hello,

Could you please try again?
