I’m using Unreal version 5.4 with Convai version 3.5.0. I am experiencing a lot more errors than usual, with the agent not responding. I am getting errors like this:

Could you clarify whether these issues occur suddenly or under specific circumstances? Also, let us know how we can reproduce this issue on our end. This will help us investigate and provide a solution more effectively.
Thank you for your response. I generally run data collection from 9am-6pm or so. These issues occurred randomly but not too often, until yesterday. Then I started getting these errors for every participant (not under any specific circumstances). This morning, I saw new errors like this:
I am also experiencing situations where the AI’s response is generated (I see the response in the playground), but the AI doesn’t verbally say it to the participant in VR.
I use VR preview with meta quest headset. One way to replicate the issue is to use my character ID in Unreal and have a few 5 minute conversations with it via VR preview with a headset and see if you get these errors as well.
Let me know what you find or if there is any other information I can provide.
@Tyke Thank you for your question - I am not sure about your question related to warnings vs. error. What I know for sure is that these are error messages that led the character to not respond to users. The character worked fine until yesterday.
Let me know if you have any other questions/suggestions!
The frequency of this error should be significantly reduced with version 3.5.1 (1 every ~130 interactions). Could you double-check in the Plugins menu of the editor to confirm that the plugin has been updated?
Additionally, does the error occur less frequently with audio chat compared to text chat, or does it feel the same across both?
Lastly, we’re planning major updates to the code, so this issue will be fully resolved in the next plugin update.
Thank you very much for letting me know. I will double check the version and update if needed. The errors seemed the same across both the chat and audio.
I am looking forward to the next plugin update. Thank you again for your help!
We are also getting this error very frequently! It seems to have increased in frequency recently as well. Similar set-up, we have users interacting all day from 9am-6pm, and it now seems to be effecting almost all participants, with the same issue of text being received/displayer, but the character not finishing speaking.
@K3 Can I confirm that the plugin release version on Github is the latest version?
