Installing Bridge on Linux to import metahuman for project

Original Discord Post by robertbjarnason | 2024-09-05 21:49:45

I know not your responsibility but I’ve spent the past few hours trying to get Bridge to work to download my metahuman for your tutorial. So when I open the plugin Tab then it always says: Background service stopped, and I cant restart it.

I’ve tried to set the library path, which according to sources is the cause of the crash but it wont save anything I put into the preference path.

Any ideas?

Hi <@797205920216121355>, I am not exactly sure on that issue, the fast way we used to check that MetaHumans work on Linux is by downloading it first on a Windows machine then manually copying it into the Linux project

Don’t have a working Windows setup with Unreal, I’ve downloaded a .mhb file from the MH Creator but can I import that? Any other way to import the metahuman in UR than the Bridge?
