We understand - convai is working on the Realistic character and right now we cannot import to unity. Why don’t you give some realistic models to download and that we can import to unity.
When i subscribe the platform - I thought we can use all the realistic character…!
when we import external characters it has lot of restriction interms of rigging and blend shapes.
You’re right. Currently, characters created in Avatar Studio cannot be directly imported into game engines like Unity. We’re actively working on this, as we understand how important visual realism and engine compatibility are.
It’s also worth noting that Metahuman characters, due to licensing restrictions and rigging compatibility, aren’t fully supported in Unity, which adds another layer of complexity. Convai itself has no visual dependency, meaning you’re free to use any custom character that meets the required blendshape (OVR-ARKit-Reallusion) setup.
If you’re looking for realistic, high-quality characters, we recommend checking out Reallusion characters or online 3D asset stores for avatars with OVR/ARKit-compatible blendshapes.
We appreciate your feedback and are working hard to provide more flexible options soon.
I have subscribed to your platform because you have some realistic characters, I have showcased to my clients as well.
Now, I have to go and buy from a 3rd party, which means it’s an additional cost in terms of money / time / resources.
My expectation is why don’t you allow us to download 1 or 2 good characters from your platform and use it unity.
We do not mention anywhere that these characters can be imported into game engines. Additionally, we offer a free plan so users can test things out before subscribing.
As I mentioned earlier, some of the characters in our library are technically not compatible with Unity, and thus cannot be imported.
For Unity projects, I recommend using characters from Reallusion. They offer a number of high-quality options, including some free ones, that are compatible with Unity.
