Pixel Streaming error when publishing

<@1023671043287699568> QUick Question. On the My Experiences tab - how would I "unpublish"£ or “delete” an experience? In my efforts, I ended up creating too many experiences so I’d like to remove a couple of them :slightly_smiling_face:

For now, we don’t have a way to delete experiences.
I can add this to the request list.

You can unpublish an experience by changing its visibility in the dashboard to private or unlisted.

<@759094701038370877> That is good news :slightly_smiling_face: Thank you. That does make a lot more sense to be able to demo the technology. I have a meeting on Friday afternoon (14:45 UK time) about this, so fingers crossed that it will be able to be shown then :slightly_smiling_face:

<@178079698574639104> we have deployed a patch

This patch allows creators of an experience to share a private experience with invited users
The invited users will use the creator’s pixel stream quota

Please change your experience visibility to private and share it to people by inviting them. And please let us know if you face any issues or have any feedback on the sharing.
If you are trying to view it to view the shared experience from an invited user’s account please use a private window, login to convai.com and then use the experience link

<@759094701038370877> <@1023671043287699568> I have changed the visibility to Private, and invited myself (via a secondary email address). I have still having the “Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).” eror on-screen. I will try inviting my wife on a separate computer later on and keep you posted.

One question - does the invited person have to have a ConvAi account?

Reply by sherlock6147 | 2024-11-07 07:38:32

Please try logging in to convai.com before visiting the experience

Reply by sherlock6147 | 2024-11-07 07:38:59

Yeah invited people need to have a convai account before being able to access the experience for now

<@759094701038370877> Thanks for clearing that up. I just tried with my wife (she doesn’t have a convai account) and it didn’t work. I’ll set her up on a free plan and see if I can get that to work now. Thanks for your help

<@759094701038370877> Ok, that works :slightly_smiling_face: However, some feedback. I would have expected it to work in a “kiosk” mode, ie, at the moment, if I log into that experience with a different account, I can change the characters, the background, anything I want. For a trade show, I’d like it to be a kiosk - nothing can be changed except by me, logged into my account only.

  • not a critricism :slightly_smiling_face: just an observation as a fellow dev.

<@178079698574639104> So you would want to go directly into the preview, interacting with the character right?

Reply by catboiler | 2024-11-07 08:10:24

  • I want this to succeed just as much as you do :slightly_smiling_face:

Reply by catboiler | 2024-11-07 08:10:58

Yes, directly into the preview with no options to change anything. THink of a booth at a trade show. The customers see the curated demo, not the options to changve it

I see, it should have worked already (no changes are to be allowed from this invited user’s session), but I will check with my team on why its behaving in this manner

Reply by catboiler | 2024-11-07 08:13:05

Also, it loads very happily on a mobile, but there’s no way to interact with the character as it requires a keypress :slightly_smiling_face:

Reply by sherlock6147 | 2024-11-07 08:14:43

The mobile design for it is still in works for now.

I know, just thought I’d let you know :slightly_smiling_face:

Anyway, I have a demo that I can show at my meeting tomorrow, so thank you. I’ll just train up the character a bit now.

All the best for the demo. Hope it goes well.
