We would like to share development of the ai with our client in parallel with a UE5 master project. When we tested convai with the trail account, there was a simple avatar chatbot (RPM) and also a published link that we could send our client/team without the need to sign in.
Now on a pro account, it seem we only have the pixel streamed option. Is there a way to modify the link so we have access to a simple/non pixel streamed avatar chat box like before? The avatar isnt important and can be disabled if needed?
Any thoughts of a workaround would be appreciated.
To clarify, the Ready Player Me (RPM) character creator is no longer available within Convai. Previously, it was a basic visual representation, but since it relied on RPM’s systems, any issues on their end were beyond our control.
With the latest update, we’ve introduced Avatar Studio, which offers enhanced customization, interactivity, and functionality:
It’s no longer just a placeholder—you can interact with characters directly.
Characters can now be customized and published as public, unlisted, or private experiences.
You can create high-quality avatars with environments and Vision support, all without coding expertise.
However, to access published experiences, users now need to create and log in to a Convai account. The Free plan provides a 15-minute trial for testing.
Unfortunately, the old system has been discontinued. Let us know if you have any questions!
Hey K3 - Thought as much! Thanks for clarifying. We are on the pro account as we develop the experience, and will move up to the scale tier for the duration of the exibit (museum experience)
The Avatar studio is great, and really useful to see and demo to the client the pixel streaming in action, which is part of the longer term plans of the experience.
What I would like to do during dev is simplify/remove any visuals when interacting with the ai so the client can interact as the full experience develops. The avatar studio is great, but with multiple stakeholders, there will be confusion that she looks wrong - We would like to separate AI from the visuals as part of the review process ideally.
I see there is a web sdk. If I was to create a simple webflow based webpage, can you advise the easiest way to get a chat bubble up and running with our character ID?
