Unable to Delete ElevenLabs API Integration + Private Cloned Voice Not Syncing to Convai

Hello Convai Team,

I’m currently facing two issues related to the ElevenLabs integration on my Convai account, and I would greatly appreciate your assistance.


1. Unable to Delete ElevenLabs API Key from API Integration

I added my ElevenLabs API key into Convai (Profile → API Integration), but the platform does not allow me to delete it.

  • Clicking the delete (trash) icon does nothing

  • The key remains visible even after:

    • logging out/in

    • hard refresh (CTRL+SHIFT+R)

    • closing all characters/playground sessions

    • editing the key and overwriting it

    • entering an invalid key and updating it

    • trying from a different browser

The API key appears to be stuck or locked, and I cannot remove or replace it.

2. ElevenLabs Private Voice Not Appearing Inside Convai

I created an Instant Voice Clone in ElevenLabs, and the voice works perfectly inside ElevenLabs TTS.

However, Convai does not show this cloned voice under the:

Character → Language and Speech → ElevenLabs-Private-Voices

Convai still displays older voices I already deleted on the ElevenLabs side, which means the voice list is not re-syncing correctly.

I have already tried:

  • deleting and re-adding the API key (blocked by issue #1)

  • logging out/in

  • refreshing browser cache

  • changing character voices

  • ensuring no playground or Unreal session is active

The cloned voice still does not appear.

This leads me to believe the problem is again related to API key caching on Convai’s backend.

After attempting several fixes, the entire “ElevenLabs-Private-Voices” section has now disappeared from Convai’s voice dropdown menu.

I no longer see any ElevenLabs voice options inside Convai’s Language & Speech settings.

Which ElevenLabs plan are you currently subscribed to?

I am currently subscribed to the ElevenLabs Creator Plan, which includes Instant Voice Cloning, PVC and API access.

As stated in our documentation, only ElevenLabs Pro plans and above are supported, because Convai requires 44.1 kHz audio output, which is not available on the Creator plan.

However, I still have a problem regarding the API Integration section in my Convai profile. The ElevenLabs API key cannot be removed. The delete option does not respond and the key remains visible even after multiple attempts and different browsers. Is this normal ? Could you please help with this issue as well? It seems to be stuck on my account.

Could you please share the console logs that appear when you click the delete button?

To access them, open your browser and press F12 → Console, then take a screenshot of the logs and send it here.

Hi @Aldefa_Athallah, can you check the voice list again? We can see the private voices are now available for your account.
With respect to the other issue - we are currently checking why you are not able to delete the key. Will get back to you on this soon.

Hi @Deepankar_Acharyya, thank you for replying. Yes, I can now see the private voice list in the voice options for the Convai character. Alright, please keep me updated regarding the bug with deleting the API integration. Thanks
