First of all, we really appreciate Coinvai and it’s huge potential.
Unfortunately, we have come across an issue.
One of our Convai Characters will only play back facial animations during the first dialogue, so it works in general; however, as soon as the next dialogue is triggered, the facial animations are not playing at all.

Facial animations play during first dialogue, but when the next one is triggered after 25 seconds, only voice audio is playing, but the facial animations will not.
Do you have suggestions on how to tackle this issue?
When this issue occurs, could you please share the logs that appear at that moment? Before sending them, make sure to remove any lines containing your API key.

I’d like to define the original issue a bit better; this was sent to me by my colleague:
”When the Convai level is opened and the NPC is addressed for the first time, everything works correctly:
the NPC responds to the player’s initial greeting and the face is animated.
The Convai NPC stops playing any facial animation and only plays the audio whenever the player steps onto a platform that works the same way as with our Vivian and triggers a predefined text via “invoke speech – Convai chatbot” in UE.
With any further questions to the NPC, it seems like the facial animations also keep failing to play, but I haven’t been able to verify yet whether this happens every single time.
*However, if “invoke speech” is triggered by the player entering an area around the Convai NPC – so when the whole thing is set up inside the BP_convai-chatbot – then it works.
But in that case I can only have the same line played over and over again. I have no idea how I’m supposed to trigger different texts on different platforms in the level.”
